  • No e-mail speak.
  • No invented words.
  • Use correct punctuation.
  • Use lower/upper case, not all caps.
  • Learn how to quote.
  • Use on verb tense only.

The No No List 

 

Find better transition words than So and And between sentences.

Use only one exclamation mark.

No All CAPS.

A lot is two words.

Learn the difference between there, their, and they're.

Learn the difference between your and you're.

Learn the difference between is, are and our.

Do not use Gonna, wanna, shoulda and goin.

Always capitalize I  when used alone.

Get rid of 's when using only plurals. The 's shows possession or a contraction.

No comma splices. Use a comma after transitions, before but and inside a list.
