A River of Words

Sentences and paragraphs are fluent when the essay flows from the mountain source (thesis statement) to the ocean without hitting a rock or boulder. Make your words into a fast-moving river. Use transition words to glue the sentences into one cohesive paragraph and the paragraphs into an essay with an opening, explanation or evidence and effective conclusion. Listen in your mind to the rhythm of the words. Is the beat true?
