Every sentence has a noun and a verb. Writer uses sentences that are varied in length with some long and some short. Transitions are used between the paragraphs.

The pros and cons make sense and answer the writing prompt.

All ideas have clear and understandable evidence used to support them.

Writer has a unique voice which makes the writing interesting.

This is a voice like no one else's. Culture is a great part of the voice.

WORDS

The choice of words fit the voice, ideas and fluency of the essay. A Thesaurus was used to find the absolute best words to answer the prompt.

CONVENTIONS

Paragraphs are indented. 100% spelling = use of a dictionary. All sentences begin and end correctly. Capitals are used correctly. Punctuation is correct.
