My name is Wade Frogley and I will be the Lodge Leader of the 11th and 12th grade for the 2016-17 school year.  This is my second year at Chief Leschi Schools having served as secondary principal last year.  I am originally from Boise, Idaho where I spent my upbringing and schooling.  Myself and seven siblings were raised by a stay-at-home mother and a father who practiced dentistry.  Education was always a priority in my family and from a young age I anticipated going to college and attaining a career.  After high school, I started my college studies and took a few breaks during the process to live on the east coast and teach in China.  I graduated from the College of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science degree.  I subsequently worked for the Bureau of Land Management in Range Management and for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game in Fisheries Pathology.  I particularly enjoyed those positons as it allowed me to be outdoors studying wild horse herds or fishing in mountain streams.

I always had an interest in teaching and believe I was called to it after my duration in other careers.  After marriage, my wife and I moved to her home town in the mid-west where I taught science at the middle school level.  While in Nebraska, we started a family and then returned to Idaho a few years later where I continued teaching at an alternative high school.  Over the course of several years and while raising a family, I attended graduate school.  I received my Masters of Business Administration from Boise State University and my Specialist in Education from the University of Idaho.  This led me to school administration where I became a building administrator at the elementary level and then on to serve as a vice principal and principal at the secondary level for school districts in southern Idaho.

Over the years, I had many opportunities to visit family in Washington.  It is a beautiful state and can be said that my children have fallen in love with the area.  With family having moved away from the Boise area and my children getting older, the opportunity presented itself to move to Washington.  I am proud to be serving at a wonderful school and with some of the best people in education.  The culture and passion of the community supporting Chief Leschi has already provided me with many fulfilling experiences.

Education continues to be a priority in my life and is something I have instilled in my own children.   My oldest daughter finishes her college degree this fall while my youngest daughter begins her first semester of college.  This year will provide many opportunities for me to not only impact the lives and education of my own children but your children as well.  It is an honor and privilege to which I look forward to serving.
