New Student Enrollment

  • NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT NOTICE:

    Chief Leschi Schools’ 9th to 12th grades’ new enrollment will close for the first semester on October 13th, 2023. We will no longer be accepting new enrollment applications unless you are an enrolled Puyallup Tribal member. New enrollment for the second semester will begin in January 2024, after Winter break.

    All other grades, unless closed to Puyallup Tribal members only, will still be accepted. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact our Enrollment Department at 253-445-6000, ext. 3190, or at enrollment@leschischools.org.

    2023-2024 New student enrollment will begin May 9, 2023.

    Required documents you will need to complete your application:

    • Birth certificate
    • Tribal ID (federally recognized tribe)
    • Verification of Blood quantum if not enrolled in a federally recognized tribe
    • Court order
    • Copy of unofficial transcript 
    • IEP records (if your student has one)

     

    Please do not withdraw your child from their current school until your child has been confirmed accepted.

     

    All applications will be accepted and filled by priority below. 

     

    1. Puyallup Tribal Member
    2. ISEP (those enrolled in a federally recognized tribe or 1/4 total blood degree)
    3. Native descendent child of an enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe and biological parent, but the child is not enrolled
    4. Non-ISEP child 

     

    Applications #3 and #4 will be accepted and filled on space availability. Those applications who qualify in these categories will be notified by August 15 if they have been accepted.
