Chief Leschi Schools

COVID Testing Program

  • In collaboration with the Washington State Department of Health, Chief Leschi is participating in a state-funded effort to provide voluntary COVID-19 testing that will be incorporated into our existing school building reopening plans to further help contain the virus, protect our community, and keep students and staff safe and healthy.

How do I schedule an appointment?

If a student or a staff member is showing signs of illness (fever of 100.4°F, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, chills or loss of taste or smell, muscle or body aches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, congestion, or running nose not related to seasonal allergies, or unusual fatigue) you can get a free voluntary COVID test available at our school. All you need to do is call the appropriate school main office building your child attends or you work at to schedule an appointment.

    • Elementary office: (253)445-6000, ext. 3001
    • Secondary office: (253)445-6000, ext. 3002

    • You can begin setting up an appointment online. Click here. You will still need to call the main office your child attends to complete scheduling your appointment.

What do I need to do once I am on campus for my test?

Once you have the COVID test scheduled, come to campus at the appropriate time and park on either side your child attends or you work at (elementary or secondary). Please call the main office where you are parked to let them know when you arrive. Someone will come out to greet you and provide the test to self-administer.

How will I be notified of the results?

Someone from the testing company (Curative) will call you within 48 hours with the results of the COVID test.
