Instructional Technology Vision Statement

Guided by Chief Leschi Schools’ commitment to rigorous academics and cultural teachings, our vision is to harness technology as a catalyst for student voice, resilience, and leadership. We honor our heritage while equipping every learner with the skills, confidence, and space they need to overcome barriers, amplify their stories, and thrive in both Native and global communities.

Instructional Technology Goals

  1. Amplify Student Voice through Culturally Rooted Learning
Leverage digital tools and culturally responsive content to deepen engagement, strengthen Native identity, and give students the platforms and confidence to share their perspectives.
  2. Empower Educators as Cultural Technologists
Deliver ongoing, hands-on professional learning and coaching that equips teachers to weave Indigenous knowledge and modern pedagogy through purposeful technology integration.
  3. Bridge Tradition and Innovation
Curate and develop resources that unite time-honored teachings with cutting-edge tools—ensuring curriculum reflects community values, inspires critical thinking, and prepares students to navigate two worlds.
  4. Foster Equitable Access and Participation
Expand and sustain reliable access to devices, connectivity, and digital resources for students, staff, families, and community partners—eliminating opportunity gaps and supporting inclusive learning experiences.
  5. Build a Resilient, Future-Ready Infrastructure
Design and maintain a secure, scalable technology ecosystem—physical and virtual—that upholds cultural safety, supports academic excellence, and adapts to evolving needs.
  6. Cultivate Community Partnerships
Engage families, Tribal nations, and local organizations as active co-designers in technology initiatives—strengthening cultural bonds and creating a welcoming, supportive learning network.
  7. Provide Proactive, Culturally Sensitive Support
Deliver responsive technical and instructional coaching services that minimize disruptions, honor community protocols, and empower users to learn and lead with confidence.
  8. Establish Ethical, Student-Centered Governance
Develop policies and practices that protect data privacy, champion digital citizenship, and ensure all technology use reflects our commitment to cultural respect, equity, and learner agency.
