Schoology - Parent Login

 

1. Go to https://app.schoology.com/register.php?type=parent

2. Enter your Parent Access Code. This is a 12-digit code in xxxx-xxxx-xxxx format that you receive from one of your child's instructors. If you have multiple students, start with one and add the others later.

 

3.Fill out the form with your information. You can use an email address or just create a username, but using an email helps if you ever forget your password. Note: the password needs at least 12 characters!

4. Click Register to complete.

When you use a Parent Access Code to create an account, you are automatically associated with your child. You can add additional children to your account using the Add Child option explained below.

 

How to find your Parent Access Codes in Schoology 

 

  1. Launch Schoology 

  1. Navigate to the course with the students you need codes for 

  1. Click the word Members in the left-hand column of options 

  1. On the page that loads, find the BLUE words Parent Access Codes (not the Access code for the course, the Parent Access Code 

5. Click on the blue words and a spreadsheet will automatically download. It will appear briefly at the top right of your browser, or you can find it in your downloads folder. 

 

  1. Drag the column with the Parent Access Code to make it wide enough to show the entire code. The codes have 12 characters in three groups of 4. 

 

CAUTION! Each code provides access to grades for a specific child. Be sure to share the correct code with the family. If you give them someone else’s code, their account will connect to the wrong child. 

NOTE: One code can be used by several people. For example, if Mom and Grandma both want parent accounts, Mom can use the code for her account and Grandma can use it for hers.
