Join us & the Puyallup Tribe of Indians in July as we recognize and honor our Two Spirit/LGBTQ students, families, and community members for their contributions to our community. Last year, the Puyallup Tribe of Indians proclaimed July of every year be recognized as Pride Month.
In our culture, we use the term Two Spirit, an umbrella term that refers to Native American people whose individual spirits were a blend of female and male spirits. The term has been reclaimed and used as a way to honor our heritage. We raise our hands to our Two Spirit members of our school and community.
