A Message From Our Superintendent: Watch over yourself well, Warriors

Posted 1/8/2021

Good day CLS families,

As we all have reflected on the events of this week, I am sure I am among the majority who feel deeply saddened about the actions by groups of citizens working to harm our democracy. Civic engagement is the foundation of our democracy, and the Puyallup Tribe and our children are no strangers to demonstrations and peaceful protests. We strongly condemn any and all attempts to incite violence and will not tolerate acts of hate that counter our shared democratic beliefs.

As we shared earlier this week, please refer to our website for resources on how to talk our children during and in the aftermath of these events. We have added additional articles to help support your conversations:

As a reminder, take care of yourself this weekend; be mindful of your media consumption, know your triggers, practice good self-care and take time to process your feelings. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us for support.
