The Work-Integrated Learning Advisory Committee (WILAC) from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) held their first in-person meeting at our campus earlier this month. It was an exciting day for our CTE Natural Resource students and Culinary students as they got to show off our outdoor classroom, cooking and hospitality skills. In addition, our culture students shared a few songs with the committee before starting their meeting.
"It was exciting to be able to highlight some of the great things happening at Chief Leschi with state politicians, education leaders, and the other tribal organizations present," Nancy Nelson, Director of Career and Technical Education, says. "Our Culinary students, Drum and Dance performers, Natural Resources tour guides and student internship speaker represented our school with pride."
We raise our hands to WILAC for coming to visit our campus and supporting the work we are doing here!
